An increase in cotton acreage is anticipated for the 2011 crop year due to favorable prices stemming from a dramatic decrease in worldwide carry-over cotton.  The ability to handle these additional acres and maintain quality which the Bootheel has earned a reputation for has been one of our goals here at the Matthews Cotton Company for the pasts nine years when we began our updates.  We are proud of our accomplishments and thank Governor Jay Nixon for recognizing us this past year with the "Ag Achievement Award".
